Syed Alwi is an experienced C-Suite executive with more than 24 years of professional experience across the financial services industry. His vast experience include exposures in consulting, technology and banking organizations, in Malaysia, Bahrain and Singapore. He was previously the President cum Chief Executive Officer of Agrobank and the Managing Director of Islamic Finance at BNP Paribas. He has a Bachelors degree (Accountancy) and MBA (Islamic Finance) from IIUM, a Fintech Programme Certificate from Oxford University and is presently pursuing his PhD with Universiti Malaya on the topic of Sustainable Banking.
