Aim of providing a platform for start-up founders to pitch their innovative business ideas to potential investors
UMP Holdings (UMPH), a wholly-owned business arm of Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah organised the “Shark Tank Business Pitching” Series 2 event which was held at Zenith Hotel, Kuantan on 10 August, 2023.
This start up business pitching event is stewarded by UMPH with the support of Majlis Syarikat Induk IPTA Malaysia (MSIM) with the aim of providing a platform for start-up founders to pitch their innovative business ideas to potential investors looking out for the next groundbreaking venture.
Among the guest of honours were Dato' Mohd Sharil bin Abdullah, Director of Industry and Community Collaboration Division, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Higher Education, Encik Ahmad Kamil Kushairi, President of MSIM, Datuk Wira Dr Haji Sazali Bin Muhd Din, Vice President of MSIM and hosted by Tuan Syed Alwi bin Mohamed Sultan, Group CEO of UMP Holdings.
With this program, UMP Holdings aspires to be a committed capital provider to help entrepreneurs out there to create an evolution in the business world, thus becoming the leading industry leader in the country. This is also a new foray for UMP Holdings as part of its development into the digital economy and start-up ecosystem.
