The rise in livestock feed prices is the catalyst of this new formulation using Trichanthera gigantea (#KetumAyam).

Yesterday’s Tilapia release at Paya Bungor, owned by Encik Mat Lazim bin Mat Yusof, featured Dato' Sri Dr. Haji Mohd Johari bin Haji Hussain (Pahang State Executive Councillor for Agriculture, Agro-based Industry, Biotechnology and Education Rep), Dr. Norhaliza binti Abdul Halim @ Jamahuri (DVS) and Encik Fazly (DOF).
Led by PM. Dr. Aizi Nor Mazila binti Ramli and Prof Saiful Nizam Bin Tajuddin, this R&D project aims to stabilize costs through local innovation.
By utilizing Ketum Ayam, PM. Dr. Aizi and the team are developing a sustainable, cost-effective alternative to expensive commercial pellets. This collaboration between DVS and DOF of Pahang aims to shield our farmers from volatile market costs. It is a necessary game-changer for local aquaculture and turning economic pressure into home-grown innovation.
