OUDINO COLLABORATION CONTINUES: UMPSA HOLDINGS X IBA BOTANICALS

Synbion Sdn. Bhd. (Synbion), a spin-off company of Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) and a subsidiary of UMPSA Technology Sdn. Bhd., continues its collaboration with IBA Botanicals Inc. (IBA), a Philippines-based agriculture company, following the 2024 Memorandum of Agreement for the OUDIno, an innovation aimed at revolutionising the agarwood industry.

OUDino is a scientifically formulated inoculant developed by Synbion to accelerate and enhance the natural resin formation process in agarwood trees, enabling growers to achieve higher yield, consistent quality, and reduced cultivation time. This technology not only increases the commercial value of agarwood but also supports sustainable plantation management practices.

Group Chief Executive Officer of UMPSA Holdings Group, Ts. Mohd Fadzil Mohd Idris, was present to welcome and meet the delegation from IBA Botanicals, led by its Chief Executive Officer, Ben Mead. The visit strengthened joint efforts in supplying OUDIno inoculants to both the Philippines and local markets, and featured an introduction to UMPSA-BRC, insights on OUDIno and a tour of the laboratory facilities.

It is hoped that this collaboration will further drive innovation, strengthen industry ties and open new opportunities in the global agarwood market.
