Strengthening Strategic Collaboration with JPK on TVET and Future Skills Development

UMPSA Holdings represented by its Managing Director and Group Chief Executive Officer, Ts. Mohd Fadzil Mohd Idris, recently participated in a strategic engagement session with the Department of Skills Development (JPK) held at the University Board Meeting Room, UMPSA Gambang.
The session was attended by Ir. Ts. Dr. Kamaruzaman Hj. Md. Ali, Director General of the Department of Skills Development, and Professor Ts. Dr. Yatimah Alias, Vice-Chancellor of UMPSA, together with senior representatives from UMPSA and UMPSA Holdings.
UMPSA Holdings played a key role in the engagement, focusing on strengthening strategic collaboration in skills development, accreditation of Training Centres, and expanding participation in the WorldSkills Malaysia platform. The discussions also explored UMPSA Holdings’ potential to lead and drive initiatives in emerging skills areas such as digital technologies, creative industries, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and other future-ready competencies aligned with Industry 4.0 requirements.
A key outcome of the engagement was JPK’s positive support towards recognising UMPSA as a strategic hub for skills development initiatives, with UMPSA Holdings positioned as a key industry-driven enabler within the ecosystem to spearhead training delivery and professional certification programmes in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
Following the engagement, the delegation visited the UMPSA BIM Centre to observe the ongoing WorldSkills Malaysia Competition for BIM Instructors, highlighting UMPSA Holdings’ commitment to advancing technical excellence and high-quality talent development in Building Information Modelling (BIM).
This engagement reflects UMPSA Holdings’ continued commitment to strengthening Malaysia’s TVET ecosystem, driving industry-relevant skills development, and contributing to the nation’s long-term competitiveness through strategic collaboration with JPK and UMPSA.
