SYNBION SHOWCASES ODOR SENSOR INNOVATION TO PETRA

On 10 October 2025, a delegation from UMPSA Holdings, led by Managing Director and Group Chief Executive Officer, Ts. Mohd Fadzil Mohd Idris, paid a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA). The delegation included En. Sa’udin Sulong, Head of Strategic Business Development; Professor Dr. Saiful Nizam Tajuddin and Associate Professor Dr. Muhammad Sharfi Najib, Directors of Synbion Sdn. Bhd.; and Pn. Rofiza Mansor, Senior Executive of Synbion Sdn. Bhd. During the session, the team showcased E-Anfun, an innovative odor sensor monitoring system designed to support advanced environmental and water quality management.
The session was chaired by Dr. Safuwan Samah from the Strategic Planning and International Relations Division (BPSA), and attended by representatives from Indah Water Konsortium (IWK), National Water Services Commission (SPAN), National Water Research Institute of Malaysia (NAHRIM), and the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (JPS).

Key outcomes from the meeting include:
Synbion to collaborate with NAHRIM on water sensor development;
Synbion to arrange a presentation session with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Nature Sustainability, Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT), Department of Environment (DOE), and Department of Irrigation and Drainage (JPS).
This engagement reflects UMPSA Holdings’ and Synbion’s strong commitment to advancing green technology, environmental monitoring solutions, and sustainable water management initiatives in line with national priorities.
