UMPSA and UMPSA Holdings Earn Diamond Recognition at LCC2030C 2025

Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), together with UMPSA Holdings, achieved a significant milestone at the Low Carbon City 2030 Challenge (LCC2030C) 2025. UMPSA Gambang, represented by UMPSA Holdings, received a prestigious Diamond recognition, while UMPSA Pekan secured an outstanding Four Diamond recognition in the Zone Category.

LCC2030C is a national low-carbon programme led by the Malaysian Green Technology & Climate Change Corporation (MGTC), an agency under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability (NRES). The initiative encourages cities and institutions to reduce carbon emissions and accelerate sustainable development efforts towards 2030.

Through sustained environmental initiatives, UMPSA recorded a 36.89% reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions since 2019, equivalent to a total reduction of 5,471.77 tCO₂eq. This achievement reflects the strong collaboration between UMPSA and UMPSA Holdings in advancing low-carbon practices and sustainability leadership.
