UMPSA GAMBANG WON DIAMOND IN THE LOW CARBON CITIES AWARD CEREMONY 2023

UMPSA Gambang, in collaboration with UMP Holdings, has won the Diamond Award in the Low Carbon Cities Award Ceremony 2023, having attained a 3 Diamond rating. This event was organised by the Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Centre (MGTC) yesterday.
The award was presented by His Excellency Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, Minister of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change. Tn. Syed Alwi Mohamed Sultan, Group Chief Executive Officer of UMP Holdings Group, represented UMPSA Gambang and accepted the award on its behalf.
Under the Low Carbon City 2030 Challenge (LCC2030C) programme, this is an initiative by the government to achieve the target of establishing 200 Low Carbon Zones and 1,000 Low Carbon Partners in all the 155 local authorities in Malaysia.
For the record, this is the first time that UMPSA Gambang has participated in this programme, resulting in a commendable success.
