UMPSA Holdings recently held a strategic engagement session with the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), led by its MD & GCEO, Ts. Mohd Fadzil Mohd Idris, together with key delegates from MIDA, Faizal Jalaludin, Executive Director of Investment Promotion, Siti Runiza Mohd Zaini, Deputy Director of the Foreign Investment Division and Wan Ahmad Emir Faiz Hishamnuri, Assistant Executive Officer of the Foreign Investment Division.

The session focused on aligning UMPSA Holdings’ evolving strategic direction with national and international investment priorities, particularly as the organisation strengthens its position beyond traditional operations into asset management, consultancy, and technology-driven solutions. Discussions also highlighted UMPSA Holdings’ capabilities in leveraging its ecosystem within the Malaysian Technical University Network (MTUN) to support industrial and innovation-driven growth.
Key areas of collaboration explored during the meeting included high-tech manufacturing, aviation and airport-related development, industrial park initiatives, as well as the expansion of international partnerships. MIDA also expressed its support in facilitating due diligence processes, verifying potential foreign investors, and enabling access to strategic funding initiatives to accelerate project implementation.
The engagement reflects a shared commitment between both parties to drive sustainable economic development, strengthen industry-academia collaboration, and unlock new opportunities for the advancement of the East Coast region as a competitive industrial and investment hub.
